Verified I had to be NPO for some lab testing for my doctor's appointment in WeHo, so I didn't eat. But after the blood was drawn, and because I was starving, I decided to treat myself to sushi, and set out to find a place close. Ocean Sushi did not disappoint! I arrived at the restaurant around 2 PM, during happy hour. At this time, you can get any roll for $12.50 each. I ordered three (I know, I know) and ate it all. DELICIOUS! The woman serving had a lovely smile the entire time as she managed the patrons and take-away orders, never missing a beat. The restaurant is small, cute, and oh so good. Parking can be difficult because it is WeHo, but I found street parking without too much difficulty. Go treat yourself to amazing, fresh sushi at a price point that will make your wallet happy.Verified First time here and what a hidden gem! Monica took great care of us and it should be noted that their happy hour has extended hours so we were able to enjoy it during lunch today. I just barely made it to the happy hour time but she let me order off of it!Verified I ordered to go and it was good. I ordered the bento box dinner and it was okay.. different options from the normal I'm ever so used to, but good.. I got the teriyaki beef, and I'm accustomed to having it be on the wetter side, and this was not, I prefer wet to eat with rice but it was still good.. tbe pickled cucumber was my favorite, I want a whole bowl of that.. the salad is always a hit, gyoza was good, although no dippings sauces for that.. and the edamame's were so dry. Flavor was good though. And then my chicken karaang was perfectly crispy, and sauce was great too! I also ordered the spicy tuna roll, my favorite and it didn't disappoint.. ahh I want another thinking about it.. the roll was great! Now the takoyaki, thos was my first time having it so perhaps it is right and I'm wrong, but I felt it was really bland I couldn't pinpoint if they even added salt. I did dip in the sauces provided, but at that point it's all sauce I'm tasting. Overall it hit the spot, Ps. My bento did come with miso soup and white rice that's not photographed together.Verified My husband had the Salmon Belly, Yellowtail Belly, Yuzu Jalapeno Yellowtail, and the Blue Fin Tuna. It was fresh and absolutely delicious. The happy hour prices of $5.50 and $6 can't be beat. He also has the Ken Roll which was filled with spicy tuna and layered on top with garlic, cilantro, yuzu and ponzu. The flavors were an absolute delight. I'm the non Sushi person and ordered the Japanese pan fried noodles, Yaki Soba. The sauce was flavorful on it's own and soy sauce was not needed. Absolutely delicious. The service was top notch. The waitress explained their happy hour pricing to us. She was attentive, refilled ice tea, and was very pleasant. We split a Red Zone roll which was very filling but the stars of the show were the salmon belly and yellowtail belly... wow! So flavorful and awesome to be included on the happy hour menu. Conveniently located just off Santa Monica with easy parking. Inside, the atmosphere is lively with music at the perfect volume--great for conversation and a little head-bopping. Delicious fish, great vibes, and an all-around fantastic spot.
